Lightning Recall Forward Jonathan Marchessault from Syracuse

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forward Jonathan Marchessault from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.

Marchessault, 5-8, 184 pounds, has played in 64 games with Syracuse this season, leading the Crunch with 41 assists and 54 points. He ranks second on the team for goals with 23, while his six power-play goals are tied for second. The 24-year-old has played in 291 career AHL games with Syracuse, the Springfield Falcons and the Connecticut Whale, recording 91 goals and 251 points.

Marchessault was acquired by Tampa Bay on March 5, 2014, along with Dalton Smith, from Columbus in exchange for Dana Tyrell and Matt Taormina.
