Syracuse Crunch Defenseman Bryant Molle Signed to PTO

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch have signed defenseman Bryant Molle to a professional tryout contract, Crunch general manager Julien BriseBois announced today. He will wear No. 41 for the Crunch.

Molle, 27, has spent three seasons with the Reading Royals of the ECHL and posted 20 points (2g, 18a) in 70 games this season. The Anchorage, Alaska native has racked up 40 points (2g, 38a) in 193 professional games in the ECHL, and six points (1g, 5a) in 43 playoff games. In 2012-13, Molle posted the best plus/minus rating on the Royals at plus-18.

The 6-foot-3 defenseman played his college hockey at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks from 2007 to 2011, crossing over his senior season with Crunch center Cody Kunyk's freshman year. In four years with the Nanooks, Molle posted 19 points (5g, 14a) and served as assistant captain his senior year.

After graduating from Alaska-Fairbanks, the left-handed defenseman signed a contract with the Alaska Aces of the ECHL, where he played in two games in 2010-11. He spent the next season in the CHL with the Fort Wayne Komets, playing in 60 games, tallying six points (1g, 5a) along with 144 penalty minutes.
