Lexington Legends News Release

(SAVANNAH, Ga.) The Lexington Legends, fighting for a spot in post-season play, open a three-game series in Savannah tonight. Right-hander Chris Devenski, recently acquired from the Chicago White Sox organization as part of the trade that sent veteran pitcher Brett Myers from Houston to Chicago, will make the start for the Legends. Devenski, who pitched for Kannapolis in the South Atlantic League before the trade, is 7-5 overall, and 1-0 with the Legends.

The Savannah starter tonight is Michael Fulmer, a first round pick in 2011 by the New York Mets. Fulmer, 19, has a 6-5 record, and his earned run average of 2.58 is third best in the league.

Lexington is two and one-half games behind first-place Rome in the South Atlantic League Southern Division race. Following the Savannah series, the Legends will open a four-game series in Rome beginning Thursday night.

Right-hander Mike Foltynewicz, (13-3, 2.93), who leads the South Atlantic League in victories and is fifth in ERA, will start Tuesday night's game for the Legends. He'll be opposed by lefty Alex Panteliodis (4-5, 3.08), a former University of Florida star.

Left-hander Luis Cruz (9-5, 3.79) will start Wednesday's game for Lexington. Right-hander Marcos Camarena (6-4, 3.35) will start for Savannah.

Game time each night in Savannah is 7:05 p.m.
