The Results Are In... Romney Bobbleheads Win

HICKORY, NC - The results from the first-ever Hickory Crawdads Bobblection promotion held before last Saturday's game are in! The first 1,000 fans through the gates last Saturday had their choice between a President Barack Obama Bobblehead or a Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney Bobblehead, with 500 of both initially available.
After careful calculation, the Mitt Romney Bobbleheads are officially the winners due to running out first. At the time when the last Romney bobblehead was selected, there were 129 Obama bobbleheads left.
"We were really excited to get involved with this promotion and hold the first Bobblection Giveaway at L.P. Frans Stadium," said Crawdads Director of Promotions Jared Weymier. "It was great to have so many fans come out and make their bobblehead choices, and we're looking forward to seeing if our bobblehead results will help predict the next president or not!"
The Crawdads are one of 10 teams participating in the Bobblection promotion. Although this is the first time that the 'Dads have been involved, other Minor League Baseball teams have held the Bobblection promotion before the last two presidential elections, and their collective results correctly indicated who the next president would be both times. There are still some teams that have yet to hold the promotion this year, so we'll have to wait and see what the final complete results will be!

Upcoming FUN at L.P. Frans Stadium !
After the 'Dads three-game series against the Suns in Hagerstown this Monday - Wednesday, Hickory kicks off a seven-game homestand at L.P. Frans this Thursday!
All this week's FUN starts with Thirsty Thursday, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, this Thursday against the Savannah Sand Gnats at 7 p.m. Enjoy $1 can beers and Pepsis during the game, and stick around after for a post-game concert by XerockX! This Thursday will be 80s Night, so dress up in 80s-style clothing for a Half Off Ticket! Thursday is also U.S. Air Force Night. Gates open at 6 p.m.
The 'Dads then host the Sand Gnats on Friday at 7 p.m. for the final Friday Night Fireworks show of the regular season, presented by CharterMedia and The Big Dawg 92.1FM! Friday is also Team Card Set Giveaway, with FREE Card Sets for the first 500 fans with paid admission, courtesy of Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet and The Big Dawg 92.1FM. Additionally, the Crawdads 2012 Game-Worn Jersey Auction, featuring the game-worn 20th Anniversary Jerseys, will be collecting final bids on the concourse this Friday. The FUN continues with The ZOOperstars!, presented by Dickinson Service Center and KICKS 103.3FM, on Saturday with a 6 p.m. First Pitch against Savannah. Don't miss the nationally-acclaimed mascot caricatures put on a show you'll never forget! Also on Saturday, it is Snuggie Giveaway with the first 1,000 fans with paid admission receiving a FREE Crawdads Snuggie, courtesy of Galaxy, Ken's Dressings & Marinades and KICKS 103.3FM! Gates open at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
