Asheville Tourists News Release

Jordan Ribera stepped to the plate with one out in the bottom of the 10th with Sam Mende at first in a 3-3 game. After Ribera was caught looking in his previous at-bat, Jordan doubled off the left field wall to score Sam and give the Tourists a 4-3 victory. The walk-off win was Asheville's third straight last at-bat win at McCormick Field.

The Tourists erased a 3-0 deficit to force extras and eventually provide the 10th inning heroics. Chris Jensen allowed three unearned runs in the top of the second to Charleston, but he was lights out the rest of the way. Jensen sat down 12 in a row before turning the game over to the bullpen.

Will Rankin, Nelson Gonzalez, and Ken Roberts combined to pitch the next four frames without allowing a hit; making it eight straight hitless innings for Charleston from the third through the tenth.

Trevor Story put Asheville on the board when he scored on a passed ball. In the seventh, Ryan Casteel doubled home a pair knotting the game 3-3. Casteel finished 3-for-3 with a walk.

Asheville has won five straight at home and is now 8-3 this year against the RiverDogs.
