First Half Ends with Tough Loss

June 17, 2018 - ASHEVILLE - The first half of the season came to a close Sunday afternoon. The Asheville Tourists fell to the Augusta GreenJackets in ten innings by a score of 5-4. Asheville finished the first half with a 27-42 record and were 18-19 at home. The Tourists were limited to only five hits in the game. Four of those five hits came off the bat of Taylor Snyder. Crash Doubles, Hit by a Pitch in 7-6 Loss

June 16, 2018 - ASHEVILLE - Crash Davis came to play on Saturday night at McCormick Field. Nic Motley, Asheville's catcher, assumed the identity of Crash Davis and recorded a double and was hit by a pitch in his four trips to the plate. Motley and the Tourists came up one run short to Augusta in a 7-6 loss. Sean Bouchard put the Tourists in front 1-0 with a solo Home Run in the bottom of the first inning. Marcelino's Single Delivers Walk-Off Win

June 15, 2018 - ASHEVILLE - In front of a packed house at McCormick Field on Friday night, Ramon Marcelino stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the ninth. The score was tied 5-5 and Marcelino worked a two ball, two strike count. The next pitch came in and Ramon hammered it off the right field wall for a walk-off winner. Tourists Nearly No-Hit, Drop Finale in Charleston

June 14, 2018 - CHARLESTON- The Asheville Tourists were one fortunate official scorer ruling from being no-hit against the Charleston RiverDogs on Thursday night. Still the Tourists came up only one-run short to the RiverDogs who finished the series with a 2-1 win over Asheville. In the top of the seventh inning, Sean bouchard hit a groundball to third base.
