Nate Shaver to Manage the Tourists in 2024
January 29, 2024 - ASHEVILLE - A familiar face is set to lead the Asheville Tourists in 2024. The Houston Astros named Nate Shaver as Asheville's Manager for the fourth consecutive season. Shaver is joined by returning coaches Eric Stamets (Development Coach), Bryan Muniz (Hitting Coach), and Max Mahaffey (Athletic Trainer). September 13, 2023 - ASHEVILLE - The 2023 season of Asheville Tourists Baseball is in the books. The campaign was filled with memorable games, down-to-the-wire finishes, and a record number of fans that came out and saw the Tourists play. Asheville finished with a 51-76 overall record; 26-35 in the first half and 25-41 in the second half. 30 of the Tourists 51 victories this season, 59% of their total number of wins, came by either one or two runs. Tourists Top Braves 4-3 in Ten Innings
September 10, 2023 - ROME- The Asheville Tourists defeated the Rome Braves 4-3 in ten innings on Sunday afternoon. The final game of the 2023 season for both teams came down to the wire. Rome erased a 3-1 deficit in the bottom of the ninth and Asheville responded with a winning rally in the top of the tenth. Justin Williams delivered the game-winner for the second time in the last three games. Williams crushed a two-out RBI double off the right field wall in the top of the tenth to plate the winning run. Sacco Drives in Four, Tourists Take Second Straight
September 9, 2023 - ROME- The Asheville Tourists defeated the Rome Braves 4-1 on Saturday night for their second straight victory. Asheville received a pair of two-run singles from Tommy Sacco Jr. and a tremendous pitching performance from Luis Angel Rodriguez, Brayan de Paula, and Deylen Miley. The Braves were limited to one run on four hits. Rome's run came in the bottom of the third inning on an RBI groundout.
