Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers battled a 1-0 deficit against the Ontario Reign to come back and win 2-1 in overtime tonight, ending the Reign's seven-game unbeaten streak and two-game shutout streak.

After a scoreless first period with just four shots on goal from Las Vegas and seven from Ontario, Reign forward Tristan King was able to slip one past Fallon to put his team on the board. The Reign held onto that 1-0 lead for the remainder of the second period and outshot the Wranglers 16-8 after 40 minutes of play.

Wranglers center Adam Miller tied the game 1-1 with six minutes left in regulation, and with neither team able to add a second goal, the game turned to overtime. Only an extra 32 seconds were needed, though, as defenseman Barry Goers notching the game-winning goal for a 2-1 Wranglers win. With that, Ontario's seven-game unbeaten streak was snapped, and the two teams are now 1-1 going into tomorrow's final game of the three-game series.

The Wranglers take on the Reign tomorrow and face the Colorado Eagles on Monday, Jan. 16, with a 2:05 p.m. puck drop. Quick Change, as seen on "America's Got Talent," will perform during Saturday's game, and fans can also skate with the team for free after Monday's game.
