January 13, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)

Preview: Chicago Express (16-14-4-1, 37pts) at Floria Everblades (19-14-1-2, 41pts)
When: Puck drops at 6:30 pm
Where: Germain Arena, Estero, Florida
Tonight's Matchup:
The first regular season contest between the two squads resulted in a lopsided victory for the Everblades, as Florida collected a 7-2 victory over the Chicago Express. The game looked geared up for an exciting third period before Florida scored with 29 seconds left in the second stanza to hold a two goal lead going into the third frame. The Everblades controlled the third period, and tallied three times for the 7-2 win. The Express are just four points behind Florida in the Eastern Conference standings, and regulation wins for Chicago both tonight and tomorrow will draw them into a tie in the overall points, with the Express holding the edge in head-to-head contests.
Express Notes:
D Jonathan Zion, who scored his first goal as a member of the Chicago Express on Saturday, needs just two more goals for 50 in his North American professional career. He currently has 48 goals and 127 assists in 252 North American professional games... Chicago is still without a win against a South Division team, as the Express are 0-3-1-1 against South Division teams... Chicago has not won a game on the road since defeating the Trenton Titans 4-3 on November 27. Since then, Chicago has played eight games away from home, compiling a record of 0-6-2-0.
