Kody Clemens Homers for the Second Straight Game as IronPigs Coast by Mud Hens

Toledo, Ohio - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (49-44, 13-7) closed out their series against the Toledo Mud Hens (40-55, 7-14) with a smooth 6-2 win on Sunday afternoon at Fifth Third Field.

The IronPigs opened the scoring in the second as Aramis Garcia plated a run with a fielder's choice. Toledo responded immediately in the bottom half as Corey Joyce stroked a two-out, two-run double tp flip Toledo ahead 2-1.

Kody Clemens powered up for the second straight game to put the IronPigs ahead in the third. Clemens socked a two-run homer, his second of the year and in as many days, to put the IronPigs on top for good.

Esteban Quiroz added another tally with a sacrifice fly in the fourth for the IronPigs before RBI doubles from Aramis Garcia in the eighth and Clemens in the ninth put the game on ice for a 6-2 IronPigs victory.

T.J. Zeuch (4-4) worked 5.2 innings en route to the win for the IronPigs, allowing just two runs on five hits and four walks, striking out two.

Ashton Goudeau (1-5) took the loss for Toledo, allowing four runs in four innings on two hits and two walks, striking out two.

Tyler McKay, Seranthony Dominguez (on a rehab assignment), and Connor Brogdon combined for 3.1 no-hit innings of relief for the IronPigs, punching out six in total.

Following an off-day on Monday, the IronPigs kick off a 12-game homestand as they welcome in the Syracuse Mets on Tuesday, July 25. First pitch is slated for 11:00 a.m. from Coca-Cola Park.
