
Jackals Sign Affinati, Barr

Elmira Jackals News Release
The Elmira Jackals announced on Saturday that they have signed forwards Chris Affinati and Justin Barr to standard player contracts. Elmira takes on the Greenville Road Warriors at the Bi-Lo Center at 7:05 p.m. tonight.
Affinati played 23 games with the Battle Creek Revolution (AAHL) this season, leading the team with 25 assists and 134 penalty minutes while checking in third on the club with 38 points. He played for Battle Creek in 2009-2010, posting 44 points for third best on the Revolution along with 149 penalty minutes for second best. The Highland Park, Ill. native has also spent time in the CHL with Oklahoma City and Fort Worth, the SPHL with Asheville, Winston Salem, Pee Dee, and Knoxville, and the now-defunct UHL with Roanoke Valley.
Barr was second on Battle Creek with 41 points (17g-24a) in 23 games in 2010-2011 while leading the Chi-Town Shooters (AAHL) with 65 points (26g-39a) in 46 games in 2009-2010. As a rookie in 2008-2009, Barr tied for third on the Shooters with 49 points (23g-26a).
