Langkow, 21, was named the ECHL Rookie of the Month for February on Thursday, and has nine points in his last four games. The Vegreville, Alberta native has 36 points (15g, 21a) in 53 games this season, and is second on the Aces with a +11. He represented Alaska at the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic in Bakersfield and scored two goals in the ECHL All-Stars 9-3 win over the Condors. Langkow entered the weekend tied for 12th in ECHL rookie scoring this season, alongside current Aces teammate, Kory Falite. This is his first AHL call-up. He is the seventh Aces player called up to the AHL this season, joining Daryl Boyle, Chad Anderson, Steve Ward, Ethan Cox, Alex Petizian, and Gerald Coleman.
The Aces are on the road this weekend for their only trip to take on the Stockton Thunder. There are just 16 games left in the season, and six in Anchorage.
