This is the first of nine games between these two teams. The Inferno is 2-2-1 all time against the Ice Pilots. Pensacola is in eighth place in the South Division with one point (0-3-1).

LAST WEEK Friday, October 28th COLUMBIA 4 Charlotte 3 (OT)

The Columbia Inferno win in a dramatic overtime period as they defeat the Charlotte Checkers 4-3. Justin Aikins scored the game-winning goal at 3:14 of the overtime period. Charlotte jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead with goals by Dusty Jamieson and Luke Stauffacher. Dave Bonk stole the puck and crossed it to Mike Stathopoulos as he scored his first game of the season, shorthanded at 17:39 of the first period. Nick Greenough tied the game for the Inferno at 10:34 of the second period as he took a favorable rebound off the boards and scored between the goalies legs. Stathopoulos and Eastman assisted on the goal. Stauffacher scored his second goal of the night to give Charlotte the go ahead goal at 16:46. Stathopoulos scored the tying goal with 17 seconds left in the game to send them into overtime. Chris Houle earned his second win stopping 30 of 33 shots on goal.

Saturday, October 29th COLUMBIA 4 Greenville 3

The Columbia Inferno still remains unbeaten as they win against the Greenville Grrrowl 4-3. Justin Aikins scored on the power play with 18 seconds left in the first period with assists from Eric Nelson and Dave Bonk. At the 4:35 mark of the second period, Chris Cava took a shot from the blue line and got it past goaltender Mike Brodeur to give the Inferno a 2-0 lead. Leon Hayward had the assist. Hayward scored only 22 seconds later with assist to Cava as the Inferno take the commanding 3-0 lead. Evan Shaw scored his first of the season at 7:30 on an unassisted goal. Greenville's Brock Radunske scored his fifth goal of the season at 9:20 to put the Grrrowl on the board. The Grrrowl scored the next two goals but the Inferno skate off with the 4-3 win over Greenville.

Sunday, October 30th

Columbia 2 SOUTH CAROLINA 4

The South Carolina Stingrays scored two quick goals in the third period to steal the win away from the Inferno, 4-2. F.P. Guenette scored his first of two goals of the night at 15:35 of the first period with an assist to Chanse Fitzpatrick. The Stingrays tied the game at 3:12 of the second on an even strength goal by Ty Morris. Guenette scored his second goal at 9:51 with help from Dallas Flaman and Chris Cava to take a one-goal lead. Chris Houle was between the pipes for the Inferno stopping 36 of 40 shots on goal.
