RoadRunners Make Monday Roster Moves

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL have signed forward Blake Robson and placed forward Ben Knopp on the 30-day injured reserve.

Robson, 23, finished fourth overall in scoring for St. Francis Xavier University (Canadian Interuniversity Sport) in 2004-05 with seven goals and 15 points in 21 games while playing alongside current RoadRunners' center Shawn Snider and goaltender Mike Mole. The Calgary, Alberta native led Prince George of the Western Hockey League in scoring during the 2002-03 season with 31 goals and 86 points in 68 games.

Knopp had recorded a point in each of the RoadRunners first four games before suffering an injury in Saturday's win against San Diego. He is currently eighth on the team in scoring with three goals and four points.

In other roster moves, the RoadRunners have activated forward Chris Hodgson from the 7-day injured reserve and placed defenseman John Fieweger on the 7-day injured reserve.

The RoadRunners conclude their current five-game homestand at 7:11PM on Thursday against the Idaho Steelheads. After the game, head to Cooper'stown located behind America West Arena for the first "Thirsty Thursday" of the season. Enjoy pints of Bud and Bud Light for just $3, the "Best Damn Margarita" for only $4 and other great drink specials throughout the night.

Saturday, the RoadRunners open a new three-game homestand as they welcome back Idaho to AWA at 7:11PM. It's the first of six "Past Greats" nights during the season as the RoadRunners honor former left wing Bob Liddington. The first 2,000 fans will receive a Bob Liddington commemorative pint glass.
