On October 7, the ECHL also granted a voluntary suspension to the Texas Wildcatters after Hurricane Rita cut a path through the Beaumont, TX area. Combined both teams made up a large portion of the Everblades original schedule, and thus led to a delay in the rescheduling of the entire ECHL game schedule.
