Last Weeks Highlights:
3/14/06 > Long Beach 0 @ Bakersfield 2
The Ice Dogs lost in regulation for the first time in five games last Tuesday night, falling to the Bakersfield Condors on the road. They were unable to score a goal, being shutout by Ryan Munce of the condors who made 32 saves in the win. Olivier Michaud took the loss with 23 saves. It was the fourth time this season the Ice Dogs have been shutout.
3/15/06 > Long Beach 4 vs. Fresno 3 (SO)
Looking to gain ground on the Pacific Division leading Fresno Falcons, the Ice Dogs managed a 4-3 shootout win after squandering a 3-0 lead. Ben Knopp, Christian Larrivee, and Ash Goldie all scored for Long Beach. In the shootout, Larrivee scored the final goal to lift the Ice Dogs to victory and pull them to within nine points of the Falcons. Olivier Michaud got the win for Long Beach with 35 saves. Long Beach went 0-1 on the power play while Fresno went 2-4.
3/17/06 > Long Beach 1 @ Fresno 5
The Ice Dogs fell 11 points back of the first place Fresno Falcons Saturday night after a 5-1 drubbing. Dave Cousineau had the lone goal for the Ice Dogs who fell behind 4-0 in the second period. Olivier Michaud started in goal for Long Beach but was pulled after the fourth goal and 18 saves. Greg Hewitt relieved him making 8 saves. Long Beach went 0-3 on the power play while Fresno went 2-5 with a shorthanded goal.
3/18/06 > Long Beach 3 @ Fresno 4 (OT)
Though they were unable to hold a 3-1 lead and eventually lost in overtime, the Ice Dogs managed an important point Saturday night to stay six points ahead of third place Bakersfield. Sean McAslan, Mike Vellinga, and Mac Faulkner all scored for Long Beach. Greg Hewitt took the overtime loss with 30 saves and the Ice Dogs went 1-4 on the power play. Fresno went 1-5 and scored a shorthanded goal for the second consecutive game.

3/22/06 > Long Beach vs. Victoria
The Ice Dogs will welcome the Victoria Salmon Kings on Wednesday, a team they have never lost to. Dating back to last season, the Ice Dogs are 15-0-0 against Victoria and 5-0-0 this season.
3/24/06 > Long Beach @ San Diego
The Ice Dogs will make the short trek to San Diego on Friday night to take on the Gulls. Long Beach is 4-2-1 versus the Gulls this season.
3/25/06 > Long Beach vs. Bakersfield
The Ice Dogs will be looking to put more distance between themselves and the Bakersfield Condors Saturday night at the Long Beach Arena. The Ice Dogs are 2-1-3 versus the Condors this season. They will also be holding their 3rd jersey auction at the conclusion of the game.
3/26/06 > Long Beach vs. San Diego
Long Beach and San Diego will play for the second time this week when the Gulls visit on Sunday. Fans may stick around after the game for an open skate with the entire Ice Dogs team on the Long Beach Arena ice.
