
Wranglers host Alaska Tuesday

Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 3-1-0 record for the week starting with a 4-2 win Tuesday night in Phoenx. Thursday night, the Wranglers defeated the Roadrunners 5-3 at U.S. Airways Center. Friday, Las Vegas suffered a 5-1 loss to Alaska at the Orleans Arena. Saturday night, the Wranglers bounced back with a 3-2 shootout win over the Aces.
The Wranglers host Alaska for the final game of a three-game set on Tuesday night at 7:05 pm. Friday night the Bakersfield Condors visit the Orleans at 7:05 pm. Saturday night, the Wranglers round out their week with a visit from the Utah Grizzlies. Saturday night, Nickelodeon's Dora the Explorer will make an appearance at the game. Also, fans may attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in the concourse of the Orleans Arena.

Phoenix, AZ - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Phoenix Roadrunners 4-2 at the U.S. Airways Arena on Tuesday night. Center Derek Edwardson scored the game-winning goal in his return from the AHL to lead the Wranglers to their fifth consecutive win. Left wing Dan Tudin scored a goal and added an assist. Center Matt Dzieduszycki and defenseman Steve Marr also scored as Las Vegas improved to 23-8-3 on the road. Goalie Marc Magliarditi picked up his 31st win of the season with 18 saves. Despite the loss, Phoenix netminder Ryan Cyr made 41 saves.
Thursday, March 16th
Las Vegas 5 at Phoenix 3
Phoenix, AZ - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Phoenix Roadrunners 5-3 at the U.S. Airways Center on Thursday night. Forwards Todd Alexander, Nick Anderson, Marco Peluso, Dan Tudin and Chris Stanley each scored for Las Vegas as the team won their sixth straight game. Rookie goalie Mike McKenna made 21 saves, improving to 15-1-1 on the season. Phoenix winger Patrick Levesque notched all three goals for Phoenix. Las Vegas concluded their nine-game road trip with an 8-1-0 record.

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Alaska Aces 5-1 Friday night in front of 6,677 fans at the Orleans Arena. Alaska goalie Matt Underhill made 16 saves to win his league leading 33rd game of the season. Las Vegas winger Marco Peluso scored the only goal of the night for the Wranglers. Alaska forward Mike Scott scored two goals in the Aces win. Rookie winger Alex Leavitt scored a goal and added two assists in the game.
Saturday, March 18th
Alaska 2 at Las Vegas 3 SO
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Alaska Aces 3-2 in a shootout Saturday night in front of 6,765 fans at the Orleans Arena. Winger Marco Peluso scored the deciding goal for Las Vegas in sudden death of the shootout. Right wing Sean O'Connor scored two first-period goals for Las Vegas, as the team moved to 100 points on the season, three behind Alaska. Center Derek Edwardson and Shawn Limpright each added two assists in the win. Wranglers' goalie Mike McKenna made 24 saves in the game and stopped four of six shooters in the shootout, pushing his season record to 16-1-1. Alaska goalie Matt Underhill stopped 35 of 37 Las Vegas shots in the loss.

Alaska Aces - (49-9-5, 103 Points) - Las Vegas is 2-4-0 against the Aces this season. The Aces will be without all-star defenseman Ryan Gaucher who was loaned to the AHL's Providence Bruins. Gaucher, a former Wrangler, leads all defensemen in scoring in the ECHL with 15 goals and 45 assists for 60 points in 45 games played.
Bakersfield Condors - (32-23-5, 69 Points) - The Condors are currently six points behind the Long Beach Ice Dogs for the second seed in the Pacific division playoffs. Bakersfield is led by Kevin St. Jacques with 22 goals and 31 assists for 53 points in 59 games played this season.
Utah Grizzlies - (32-24-6, 70 Points) - The Grizzlies are led by Ryan Kinasewich with 32 goals and 39 assists for 71 points in 51 games played this season. The Wranglers are 2-2-2 this season against the Grizzlies. Utah is 14-12-4 on the road this season. The Grizzlies are 0-4-1 in their last five games played.
