
Rays Clinch a Playoff Spot

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The Stingrays had a successful week going 3-0 with two games coming on the road against the Pensacola Ice Pilots. The Rays now have a firm hold on fourth place in the South Division with a record of 29-21-12. The Stingrays win on Sunday locked up a playoff spot for the 13th consecutive season.
The Rays sit in front of the Charlotte Checkers by seven points for the fourth place in the division.
Newcomer's Scott Cameron and Darren Lynch combined for seven goals this weekend. Both players were acquired at the trade deadline. Cameron had a hat trick on Saturday in Pensacola and Lynch scored the game winning goal on Sunday over the Columbia Inferno.
Maxime Daigneault returned from the AHL and helped the Stingrays this weekend with two consecutive wins on Saturday and Sunday.
"Birth Night" Friday, March 31st
Attention soon to be Moms! Birth night is coming March 31st. Expecting mothers are encouraged to call the Stingrays office at 744-2248 to register to get two free tickets to the game and a chance to win hundreds in prizes from Baby Bloomers, Rooms to Dream, BiLo Carolina Florists and Wal-Mart.
The first expecting mother to give birth after the drop of the puck on March 31st wins the grand prize. . Limit is 30 soon to be moms. All must check in at the Promo Table in Section 120 and be present for the puck drop @ 7:05 p.m. Once the Puck is dropped they will be able to leave. The fathers will have the opportunity to be on the ice to win small prize packs.
