Royals Notes:

v The Royals went 1-2-0 in the three games played this past week. Reading's record is now 37-19-7=81, which places the Royals tied for first place in the North Division of the American Conference and translates into a .643 win percentage-which is tied for the seventh best win percentage in the league.

v The 6-5 overtime win against the Johnstown Chiefs last Friday marked the first time this season that Reading has come back to win a game in which the team trailed by two or more goals at any point during that game.

- In Friday's game, the Royals trailed 4-1 after the first period, marking only the second time this season that Reading has given up as many as four goals in a single period. (The other time this happened was the second period of the 6-4 loss to the Wheeling Nailers on January 20.)

v Friday's game marked the eighth game this season that the Royals have played that was resolved in overtime. Reading's record in OT this season is 5-3.

v The six goals scored by Reading in Friday's overtime win was the seventh time this season that Reading has scored six or more goals in a single game-but the first time that the team had accomplished that feat since January 21 (a 7-2 win over Johnstown), a span of 24 games and 55 days.

- Including the six goal outburst on Friday, the Royals have only scored a total of 41 goals over their last 16 games, a 2.56 goals per game average.

- Through the first 27 games of the season (through December 31, 2005), the Royals were averaging 4.19 goals per game (the second best in the league). The team is currently averaging 3.48 goals per game, which ranks sixth in the league.

v Doug Christiansen scored the Royals' first goal and the overtime game winner in Friday's 6-5 OT win over Johnstown, marking Christiansen's sixth two-goal performance of the season for the Royals-and his fourteenth multi-point game of the year for Reading.

- For Christiansen, Friday's game winner was his second gwg of the season and his first overtime game winner as a member of the Royals.

- Christiansen also picked up an assist in Friday's game, marking the fourth time this year he's picked up three or more points in a single game.

- Christiansen scored a power play goal for the Royals in the 3-2 loss to Toledo on Sunday, racking up his team leading thirtieth goal of the season. (The team record for goals in a single season for Reading is held by Brian McCullough, who scored 39 in 2002-03.)

- Christiansen is currently the leading scorer for the Royals with 57 points (30g - 27a = 57pts).

v Larry Courville scored a goal and added an assist in Reading's 6-5 win over Johnstown last Friday, marking his second multi-point game of the season.

v Reagan Rome scored a goal and picked up an assist in the 6-5 overtime victory on Friday, marking his fifth multi-point game of the season and the second time over the course of the three games up to and including Friday's game that he had scored a goal and picked up an assist. (He also accomplished that feat in the 3-1 win over Dayton on March 11.)

v Chris Bala scored the Royals' fourth goal (to make the score 4-3, Johnstown) with 3:06 remaining in regulation time in Friday's win, marking Bala's first goal for the team since January 28-a span of 12 games and 48 days.

- Bala also picked up an assist in Friday's game, marking his ninth multi-point performance of the season in 37 games for the Royals this year.

- Bala is currently riding a three game point streak (1g - 3a = 4pts).

v Goaltender Cody Rudkosky picked up an assist on Chris Bala's goal last Friday night, marking Rudkowsky's third assist of the season.

- Rudkowsky also picked up his twenty-first win of the season for the Royals on Friday and his third overtime win of the year. (Rudkowsky's record in OT is now 3-1).

- Rudkowksy was also in net for the Royals 3-2 loss to Toledo on Sunday, marking his fifteenth start in the Royals' last 18 games.

- Rudkowksy's record is currently 21-8-3 for Reading with a 2.39 goals against average (fourth best in the league) and a .922 save percentage.

v Jon Francisco scored the game tying goal with just 14.2 seconds remaining in regulation time in the 6-5 overtime win against Johnstown last Friday, marking Francisco's first goal for the Royals since returning to the Royals (on March 10) after a 29 game and 65 day absence from the team due to injury.

- Friday's goal for Francisco was his first goal scored since December 17, 2005 a span of ten games (for him) and 90 days.

- Francisco also picked up an assist in Friday's game, marking his fifth multi-point performance in 31 games for the Royals this season.

- Francisco also scored a goal in Reading's 3-2 loss to Toledo on Sunday.

v T.J. Kemp picked up two assists in the Royals' 6-5 overtime win against Johnstown last Friday, including one on the game winner in overtime, which marked his tenth multi-point game of the year.

- Kemp also scored the Royals' lone goal in the 2-1 loss in Wheeling on Saturday night, which was scored while the Royals were playing a man short-marking Kemp's first short-handed goal as a pro.

- Kemp currently has 39 points (13g -26a), which places him tied for eighth in scoring by defensemen in the ECHL this season.

v The Royals' short-handed goal in Saturday's 2-1 loss in Wheeling was the fifteenth SHG for Reading this year, placing the team tied for second place in the ECHL in that category. (The Charlotte Checkers lead the league with 18 short-handed goals this season.)

v In the 2-1 loss to the Nailers on Saturday, the Royals entered the third period leading by a score of 1-0, thus marking only the second time this season that Reading has entered the third period with a lead and ended up losing the game in regulation. (Reading has a record of 28-2-4 when leading after two periods.)

v Yutaka Fukufuji was the goaltender for the Royals in the 2-1 loss in Wheeling on Saturday, marking his first start for the team since a 4-3 shootout loss to Toledo Storm on February 25, a span of nine games and twenty-one days between starts.

- Fukufuji currently has a record of 13-8-4 with a goals against average of 2.97 and a save percentage of .915.

v With the loss in Toledo on Sunday, the Royals' record to fell to 0-4-2 this season at the Toledo Sports Arena and 0-4-0 in Sunday road games played this year. (The team has compiled a 1-8-0 record-home and away-on Sunday's so far this season with one more Sunday game remaining-this week in Trenton.)

v Toledo scored two power play goals in nine chances in Sunday's game, marking the first time that the Royals have given up more than one power play goal in a single game since the 4-3 shootout loss to the Storm in the Sports Arena on February 25 (Toledo went 2-8 in that game), a span of eleven games.

- Over the last ten games, the Royals have given up only four power play goals against in 60 chances for the opposition, a 93.3% kill ratio.

- Over the last 25 games, Reading has given up 17 power play goals against in 165 chances for the opposition, an 89.6% kill ratio.

- Over the course of the season, Reading has allowed 57 power play goals against in 406 opportunities for the opposition with the man advantage, an 86.0% kill ratio, which ranks third in the league.

v Over the course of the three games this past week, the Royals scored two power play goals in eleven chances with the man advantage, an 18.1% scoring ratio.

- In the last ten games, the Royals have scored six power play goals in 49 chances with the man advantage a 12.2% scoring ratio.

- Over the course of the season, Reading is 68 for 330 with the man advantage, a 20.6% scoring ratio, which is fifth in the league in that category.

v Over the course of the season, the Royals have faced 76 more power plays opportunities for the opposition than they have had against their opponents in the 63 games played so far.
