Home Dates Set for Griffins' First Round Series

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Although they won't know their opponent until the AHL's regular season ends on Sunday, the Grand Rapids Griffins announced on Saturday that their first home playoff game will be Wednesday, May 1.
The Griffins, who clinched the Midwest Division and the third seed in the Western Conference with a 3-1 win over Peoria on Friday, will start the best-of-five first-round series against a to-be-determined opponent on the road, before hosting the final three games of the series. If necessary following Game 3, Grand Rapids will host Game 4 on Friday, May 3 and Game 5 on Saturday, May 4.
Tickets for the Griffins' first playoff home game can be purchased in person at The Zone and all Star Tickets locations, by phone at (800) 585-3737 or through griffinshockey.com. The team will wrap up the regular season on Sunday, visiting Chicago at 5 p.m. EDT.
