Pirates Sign Chris Rawlings to Amateur Tryout Contract

Portland, Maine - Phoenix Coyotes Assistant General Manager and Portland Pirates General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that the Portland Pirates have signed goaltender Chris Rawlings to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO).

Rawlings, a 6 foot 5, 220 pound native of North Delta, BC, had been with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. Rawlings appeared in 2 games for Idaho, registering a 0.60 goals against average and a 0.975 save percentage, including a shutout in his first professional start. Prior to signing with Idaho, Rawlings spent 4 years at Northeastern University, compiling a career record of 47-55-16 in 114 games. Rawlings holds the record for career shutouts at Northeastern with 11.
