
Hoggan Re-Assigned to Rampage

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have activated right wing Peter Mueller from Injured Reserve while left wing Jeff Hoggan has been re-assigned to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage.
Mueller, 20, has recorded 12-18-30 in 48 games with the Coyotes this season to rank 3rd on the team in both points and goals. Mueller has missed the last seven games since being placed on Injured Reserve.
The 6-foot-2, 214-pound Mueller recorded 22-32-54 in 81 games last season to rank T-2nd among all NHL rookies in goals and T-3rd among rookies in points. He was named Rookie of the Month for January 2008 after collecting 6-8-14 in 14 games during the month. He also became the first Coyotes player to register two hat tricks in the same season since the 1999-00 campaign.
Mueller, a native of Bloomington, Minn., was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (8th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
Hoggan, 31, has recorded one assist in four games with the Coyotes this season. He has also registered 18-10-28 in 48 games with San Antonio to lead the team in goals. The native of Hope, British Columbia signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 15, 2008.
