Wolf Pack Add Forward Tomas Zaborsky from ECHL Dayton

HARTFORD, February 13, 2009: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Tomas Zaborsky to the Wolf Pack from the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL.

Zaborsky, a 6-1, 190-pound rookie and a fifth-round Ranger draft selection (137th overall) in 2006, had 10 goals and six assists for 16 points, along with 14 penalty minutes, in 19 games with the Bombers. Prior to joining Dayton, the 21-year-old native of Trencin, Slovakia totaled four goals and eight assists for 12 points, and registered 14 PIM, in 28 ECHL games with Charlotte.

Zaborsky played two AHL games with the Wolf Pack last season, contributing one assist. That was after an Ontario Hockey League campaign with Saginaw that saw Zaborsky post totals of 31-39-70, with 42 PIM, in 68 games.

The Wolf Pack are back in home-ice action at the XL Center tonight, as the Lake Erie Monsters make their first-ever visit to Hartford for a 7:00 game. The Pack also play at home tomorrow night, Saturday, February 14th, taking on the Manitoba Moose at 7:00. The first 2,500 fans into that game receive a free bobblehead of former Wolf Pack star, and current New York Ranger, Nigel Dawes.
