Montreal Recalls Kyle Chipchura

MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that forward Kyle Chipchura has been recalled to the Canadiens from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

Chipchura, 22, has played in a total of 33 games for Hamilton recording 26 points (13 goals, 13 assists) along with 29 penalty minutes. This season, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound centre has played in a total of eight games with the Canadiens, recording two assists and five penalty minutes. Currently in his third professional season, the Westlock, Alberta native was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1st, 18th overall, in the 2004 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

The Hamilton Bulldogs continue their five-game road trip on Friday, February 13th for a 7:15 p.m. game in Norfolk against the Admirals.
