Wheeling Nailers News Release

WHEELING, WV - There has been something missing at WesBanco since April 9th, 2005. The extra buzz in the crowd has been absent, the shrieking of women has been quieted, and the #18 sweater has been locked in a training room closet. But it all changes tomorrow night when the Wheeling Nailers take on the Charlotte Checkers at WesBanco Arena.

The "Feisty Frenchman" will make his return to the lineup. Forward Pascal Morency has been out since the pre-season with a broken hand. Cleared by the doctors earlier this week, Morency will dress in his first game since breaking his hand during a fight against Johnstown on October 15th. The third-year pro from Montreal, Quebec, begins his 2nd year in Wheeling. One of the most popular players ever in the Ohio Valley, Morency is known for his knack of mixing it up when it's warranted. Last year, Morency compiled 252 penalty minutes in 51 games while chipping in 17 points including 8 goals. Morency will be forever known in the QMJHL for his 596 penalty minutes for Cape-Breton in the 2001-02 season.

Tomorrow night's game against Charlotte is "Dollar Beer Night". All beers are just $1. The 7pm face-off against the Checkers is also "Ladies Night' where all ladies receive a regular priced ticket for only $6. Students can show there college ID at WesBanco Arena box office and receive a game ticket for just $6. Great seats are still available by calling the Nailers (304) 234-GOAL (4625), or go to wheelingnailers.com for more information.
