Florida Everblades News Release

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades announced today that two games in the month of December will serve as a fundraising benefit to assist the survival efforts of two ECHL member teams, which were devastated during the past hurricane season.

The Mississippi Sea Wolves of Biloxi, and the Texas Wildcatters, based in Beaumont, were forced to declare voluntary suspensions as a result of the aftermath from hurricanes Katrina and Rita, respectively.

In addition to the Everblades players donning Mississippi and Texas jerseys during the games slated for December 21st and 22nd versus the Pensacola Ice Pilots, various NHL related items and memorabilia will be put up for auction to raise operating funds.

"We have an obligation to assist our league and teams in time of need, and this is truly a time of need," says President/GM Craig Brush. "The people of Southwest Florida have embraced the Everblades since the organization's inception, and I am certain that their support will continue with this outreach effort."

The NHL memorabilia will include signed jersey's from Carolina Hurricanes Forward Eric Staal, Detroit Red Wings Captain Steve Yzerman, Florida Panthers Goalie Roberto Luongo, and Pittsburgh Penguins Owner/Captain Mario Lemieux.

In addition, Ticketmaster has donated 18 Luxury Box tickets for the March 25th game against the Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Rangers at the St. Pete's Time Forum.

To view the Texas and Mississippi jersey's, log onto the Everblades website (www.floridaeverblades.com) and enter the auction sub-page in the Merchandise menu.
