Louisville Bats News Release

LOUISVILLE, KY - Jan Hernandez lifted a 435-foot homer, but Johan Camargo, Ryan Goins and Orlando Arcia each went deep for Gwinnett to lift the Stripers over the Louisville Bats 4-2 Tuesday night at Louisville Slugger Field.

Camargo plated Arcia on a towering two-run blast in the first inning and Goins and Arcia each went deep on solo shots in the second and third frame, respectively, to provide all the offense Gwinnett required in its win.

Atlanta Braves rehabber Ian Anderson struck out six over 4.1 scoreless innings. He scattered four hits and walked one while never really running into much trouble.

The Stripers bullpen kept the Bats in check until the bottom of the seventh. Chris Okey opened the inning with a leadoff walk before Hernandez unloaded on a bomb that leapt out of the ballpark with an exit velocity of 108 MPH.

Four Gwinnett relievers closed the door for the Stripers, punctuated by Sean Newcomb, who worked a scoreless ninth for the save.

The two teams continue their six-game series Wednesday at Louisville Slugger Field at 6:30 p.m. RHP Michael Mariot (3-3, 3.36) gets the ball against LHP Kyle Muller (2-2, 3.92).
