Charlotte Knights News Release
There's a rich history of professional baseball in Charlotte. In fact, it dates back to 1892 -- 130 years ago!
Over the course of that time, many legendary players have called Charlotte home. It all started with the Charlotte Hornets -- continued with the Charlotte O's -- and since 1988, the Charlotte Knights have been the professional baseball team in the Charlotte area. Each franchise has featured its own legendary players. Some have even gone on to Cooperstown.
As Billy McMillon becomes the latest member to be inducted into the Charlotte Baseball Round Table of Honor, let's take a look at the players he will be joining in Charlotte Baseball history.
