
Grrrowl take first trip out west

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers have announced the schedule for the first trip to the West Coast since the beginning of the organization. Greenville will play five games in eight days during the trip, beginning with a game against the Fresno Falcons on Tuesday, December 7th. This will also be the first meeting for the Grrrowl with Fresno, Long Beach, Bakersfield and Las Vegas.
The team left Greenville on Monday morning and will arrive in San Francisco this afternoon before traveling to Fresno. The following is a schedule for the Grrrowl over the next few days: 12/6 Travel to Fresno via San Francisco 12/7 Game in Fresno (10:00 EST) 12/8 Practice in Fresno â depart for Long Beach 12/9 Practice in Long Beach 12/10 Play in Long Beach (10:30 EST) â travel to Bakersfield after game 12/11 Play in Bakersfield (10:00 EST) â travel to Fresno after game 12/12 Play in Fresno (8:00 EST) â travel to Las Vegas after game 12/13 Practice in Las Vegas 12/14 Play in Las Vegas (9:05 EST) 12/15 Travel from Las Vegas to Greenville * All games will be available via Internet through www.grrrowl.com and TEAMLINE
TEAM NOTES: à With two assists on Sunday afternoon, CARL MALLETTE now leads the ECHL in scoring with 23 points (13G, 12A) in 20 games à CARL MALLETTE is tied for first in the ECHL with 13 goals in 20 games à With two assists on Sunday afternoon, MARTIN ST. PIERRE is second in the ECHL with 17 assists in 17 games à With four points in three games over the weekend (a win and two shootout losses), the Grrrowl are tied for third place in the East Division of the American Conference with 19 points (8-9-3)
In other news, JOEL PETKOFF has been waived. Petkoff played for the Grrrowl in the 3-1 win over the Augusta Lynx at the BI-LO Center on Sunday afternoon. He will return to the Asheville Aces of the SPHL.
