Wildcatters drop three games over the weekend

Beaumont, TX (December 6, 2004) – The Texas Wildcatters, an affiliate of the Florida Panthers (NHL) and San Antonio Rampage (AHL), played three games this week, posting a 0-3-0 record.

On Friday, the Wildcatters fell 3-0 to the Louisiana IceGators. Osaer made several key saves for the Wildcatters throughout the game turning aside a total of 36 shots. Brad Voth tried to provide a late spark for the ‘Catters when he squared off with Louisiana tough guy Doug MacIver.

On Saturday, the Wildcatters lost 9-2 in a tough game to the Mississippi Sea Wolves in Biloxi. Brian Stacey scored his first goal of the season on the power play and Andrew Ianiero scored his ninth goal of the season, also on the power play. Davis Parley made 24 saves while allowing seven goals before replacement Phil Osaer entered the game in the third period.

On Sunday, the Wildcatters finished out their three games in three-nights stretch against the Gwinnett Gladiators in Texas. Brad Voth opened the scoring one minute into the second period: but it took only thirty seconds for the Gladiators Jeff Campbell to answer back, Cam Brown would add another Gwinnett goal giving the Gladiators the lead. Ryan Fultz scored the other ‘Catters goal as the Gwinnett would go onto score two more goals, defeating Texas 4-2.

The Wildcatters have four days off to rest up before traveling to Pensacola for a game against the Ice Pilots on Friday. The team returns to Ford Arena for the second game in as many nights against the Ice Pilots on Saturday at 7:05.

SWANSON RECALLED:
Defenseman Jeremy Swanson was recalled to affiliate San Antonio Rampage. This is the third time a Wildcatters player has been called up this season. Jeff Brown and Phil Osaer both have been called up this season. Jeff Brown has two assists in 16 games with the Rampage this season.
