Dayton, OH â The Dayton Bombers extended their winning streak to three games with wins over Wheeling on Thursday (2-1) and Johnstown on Friday (4-1). It's the second time this season the Bombers have won 3-in-a-row.

Thursday vs. Wheeling, (2-1 W) â
The Dayton Bombers posted their second straight victory with a 2-1 win over the Wheeling Nailers in front of 1,929 at the Nutter Center Thursday night.
The Bombers snapped Wheeling's six-game winning streak in the process. After a scoreless first period, JUSTIN KINNUNEN opened the scoring with his first goal of the season at 4:49 of period two. Ed McGrane tied the game at 16:05, and the teams were knotted, 1-1, after 40 minutes. The game-winning goal was scored by TYLER KOLARIK, who extended his team-high point scoring streak to seven games with his ninth goal of the season.
Thursday vs. Johnstown, (4-1 W) â
The Dayton Bombers posted a 4-1 victory over the Johnstown Chiefs in front of 2,429 at the Nutter Center Friday.
Just :18 seconds after the opening face-off, SCOTT CAMERON scored his 2nd goal of the season to give the Bombers a 1-0 lead. Dayton opened a 2-0 lead when TYLER KOLARIK extended his team-high point scoring streak to 8 games with his team-leading 10th goal of the season, on the powerplay, at 12:43. Shawn Mather put the Chiefs on the board when he beat MIKE AYERS at 16:27 of the opening period. The Bombers led, 2-1, after 20 minutes. There was no scoring in the second period. With Brent Bilodeau serving a roughing penalty, CLAY PLUME scored his 1st professional goal giving Dayton a 3-1 lead at 11:34 of the third period. JANNE JOKILA capped a 3-point performance â 1 goal and 2 assists â with an ENG at 19:13. For just the second time in 19 games this season, the Bombers outshot their opponent, 34-30.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The Bombers nominated TYLER KOLARIK for ECHL Player of the Week. The 23-year old Abington, PA native recorded 2 goals, 2 assists and 4 points in 2 games last week. He recorded one goal and one assist in Dayton's 2-1 win over Wheeling on Thursday, and chipped in another goal and assist in Friday's 4-1 win over Johnstown. Both goals were game-winners. Kolarik also extended his point scoring streak to 8 games, and his goal scoring streak to 5 games.
GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
ANDREW PENNER recorded 33 saves and was the first star in Dayton's 2-1 win over Wheeling on Thursday. After the game, Penner was recalled by the American Hockey League.
