THE WEEK AHEAD

Friday, December 10th Inferno vs. Louisiana 7:30pm Carolina Coliseum

This is the first game of five this season between the Inferno and the IceGators. The Inferno is 1-2-0 overall against Louisiana. The IceGators is in third place in the South Division with 20 points (9-4-2).

Saturday, December 11th Inferno vs. Gwinnett 7:30pm Carolina Coliseum

Gwinnett is in first place in the South Division with 26 points (11-3-4). The Inferno is 3-2-0 overall against the Gladiators. This is the first game the season between these two teams.

LAST WEEK

Thursday, December 2nd INFERNO 6 South Carolina 0

Bryson Busniuk records a hat trick and Mike Minard tallies his second shutout of the season as the Inferno pummel the South Carolina Stingrays 6-0. After a scoreless first period, the Inferno exploded with five unanswered goals. Brad Ralph scored his eight goal of the season at 6:57 on the power play opportunity with an assist to D'Arcy McConvey. Busniuk scored his first goal of the game at 8:09 as he collected the puck off his own rebound. Sean Owens and Ryan Campbell assisted. At 10:15, Chanse Fitzpatrick gave the Inferno a 3-0 lead with a wrap around goal with passes from Ralph and McConvey. Busniuk scored the next two goals at 10:57 and 12:54 as the Inferno end the second period 5-0. Ralph scored his second goal of the game at 17:10 with help from McConvey and Fitzpatrick. Minard stopped 26 shots for the shutout.

Friday, December 3rd Inferno 0 AUGUSTA 3

The Augusta Lynx shutout the Inferno 3-0 and ended their four game winning streak. Augusta scored two goals in the first period and one in the third. Scoring for the Lynx as Todd Bennett, Jamie Johnson and Jarrett Thompson. The Lynx goaltender Jason Saal stopped all 35 Inferno shots for the shutout. The Inferno was 2 for 5 on the penalty killing and 0 for 5 on the power play.

Saturday, December 4th INFERNO 5 Charlotte 1

The Inferno down the Charlotte Checkers 5-1 with a pair of goals by Chanse Fitzpatrick and Matt Ulwelling. Fitzpatrick scored his first goal of the night at 9:48 of the first period on the power play with passes from Brad Ralph and Sean Owens. Ryan Campbell gave the Inferno a 2-0 lead on an unassisted power play goal at 12:21 to score his sixth goal of the season. Charlotte narrowed the lead at one goal when Juris Stals scored at 9:07 of the second period. Matt Ulwelling answered right back at 10:08 scoring his second goal of the season with assists to Eric Boulton and John Longo. At 13:25 of the third period, Fitzpatrick scored his second goal of the night from D'Arcy McConvey. Ulwelling finished the scoring for the Inferno at 19:07 with his second goal of the night. Trevor Demmans had the assist. The Inferno was 2-for-4 on the power play and Mike Minard stopped 27 of 28 shots on goal.
