Six in a Row! The Gladiators swept all three games over the weekend pushing their winning streak to six straight wins setting a new Gladiators team record for consecutive wins. Gwinnett's previous high for most consecutive wins was 5 straight from October 29th to November 7th and from February 3rd to the 10th of last year.

Having a Field Day: Rookie netminder Sean Fields tallied 37 saves in his first start for the Gladiators on Sunday in a 4-2 win over the Texas Wildcatters. Fields was with the Gladiators in Friday's 3-2 shootout win over Greenville and Saturday's 7-3 win in Pensacola as an Emergency Back up before being sign and playing on Sunday.

The Good One: Kris Goodjohn has strung together the Gladiators longest point scoring streak to date this season as the forward has picked up at least one point in each of the Gladiators last eight games. Goodjohn had an assist in Friday's 3-2 shootout win, a goal in Saturday's 7-3 win in Pensacola and chipped in an assist in Sunday's 4-2 win in Texas. During the streak, the forward has posted two 3 assist games for the Gladiators. At eight consecutive games, Goodjohn's streak is currently tied for one of the longest ongoing streaks in the ECHL.

In the Pros: Mike Stathopoulos recorded his first professional goal in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Pensacola Ice Pilots. The rookie has posted 1 goal and 8 assists for 9 points in 15 games with the Gladiators this season.

After 2 periods: The Gladiators are undefeated this season when heading into the second intermission with a lead. Gwinnett is a perfect 9-0-0 on the year when leading after 2 periods. Gwinnett is also a perfect 4-0-0 when holding a lead after the opening stanza this season.

In the Lead: Brett Engelhardt added his 13th goal of the season in Sunday's 4-2 win at Texas. His 13 tallies are tops among rookies and places him in first in that category for the Gladiators. Engelhardt tallied 12 in his final collegiate season at Michigan Tech while his career high for goals in a collegiate season was 17 during the 2002-03 season.

December 3rd, Gladiators 3, Greenville 2 – SOW

T.J. Aceti made 26 saves and turned aside all 5 Greenville shooters in the shootout to help lift the Gladiators over the Greenville Grrowl. Brett Engelhardt picked up a team leading 12th goal while Kris Goodjohn had an assist to push his consecutive game assist streak to six games for the Gladiators. Rick Emmett pitched in an assist and had the game winning shootout goal for the Gladiators in round five. Chris Durno was the Gladiators other goal scorer as Gwinnett improves to 8-0-2 when the forward tallies a point.

December 4th, Gladiators 7, Pensacola 3 – W

The Gladiators used 4 - second period goals to dump the Pensacola Ice Pilots 7-3 on Saturday night. Mike Stathopouols recorded his first professional goal of the season in the win while Ryan Van Buskirk also tallied his first goal of the year in the victory. Kris Goodjohn extended his point scoring streak to seven games picking up the Gladiators first goal of the game. Rick Emmett, Peter Flache and Cam Brown also scored for the Gladiators in the win. TJ Aceti tied a season high for most saves in a game turning aside 37 Pensacola shots in the win.

December 5th, Gladiators 4, Texas 2 – W

Peter Flache's fourth goal of the season proved to be the game winner for the Gladiators who have now won six straight games. Jeff Campbell tied the game at 1-1, 30 seconds after Texas gave the Wildcatters a short lived early 1-0 lead, 60 seconds into the second period. Brett Engelhardt tallied his 13th goal of the season in the win while Cam Brown added his 10th on the year. Kris Goodjohn added an assist to push his consecutive point scoring streak to 8 games while Sean Fields made 37 saves for his first win of the season with the Gladiators.

Tuesday, December 7th vs. Florida Everblades, 7:05 p.m. – wdun.com

The Gladiators lost the first meeting this season to the Everblades 4-3 in a shootout in Estero, Florida. This game marks the first of three meetings this season at the Arena at Gwinnett Center against the Everblades. The Gladiators swept the series last season against Florida with a perfect 6-0-0 record.

Friday, December 10th vs. Charlotte Checkers, 7:35 p.m. – WDUN News Talk 550

It's "Sing for Santa" Night sponsored by Action Awards and Sonic as local elementary school children will sing holiday music favorites at the game during the intermission. Charlotte won the first meeting of the season, a 4-3 overtime win on November 19th as the Gladiators comeback from a 3-0 deficit fell short in overtime. It was the Gladiators last loss before the beginning of the team's current 6 game winning streak.

Saturday, December 11th @ Columbia Inferno, 7:30 p.m. – wdun.com

Gwinnett beat the Inferno in a shootout 4-3 in T.J. Aceti's first win of the season. Gwinnett held a 3-1 lead before Columbia tied the game and sent the contest into overtime and a shootout.
