STORM NOTES
- Recalls Everywhere! Three Storm players went up to the AHL in three consecutive days. On Thursday, Sylvain Dufresne went up to Rochester, Friday saw Sam Paolini in Utah's lineup, and Saturday Nick Parillo donned a Grand Rapids jersey.
- Coming Back! Friday night's 3-1 victory saw Toledo do something they had yet to do this season, which was, win when trailing after one period. Toledo is now 1-5-0 when down after the first. On the flipside, Toledo is 5-0-0 when leading after one.
- Shooting Gallery! The Storm has a record of 8-3-1 when having more shots than the opponent.
- It's Knight Time! After playing the previous ten games with just 2 goals and 1 assist, Tyler Knight had 2 goals and 2 assists in 2 games this weekend.
- Toledo is 5-3-0 at home and 4-3-3 on the road this year.
- Toledo's power play scored 2 goals in 7 chances Saturday night and the unit ranks 15TH in the ECHL with 13 power play goals in 87 chances (14.9%).
- The penalty kill unit of Toledo went a perfect 8 for 8 over the weekend and has allowed just 11 goals in 81 chances against this season (86.4%). That is 12th in the ECHL.
STORM WATCH
- On Tuesday night, it is another edition of the Toledo Storm Coach's Show. Logan Koopmans will join Assistant Coach Tony MacAulay this week and the voice of the Storm Matt Melzak live at the Bronze Boar from 6-7pm. The Boar is located at 20 South Huron Street.
- Toledo will be back in action this Friday night when the Trenton Titans come to Toledo. Trenton is ahead of Toledo by just two points in the standings. Toledo is 3-11-1 all-time against the Titans. Last season the Storm won once in four games against Trenton. B.J. Abel leads the Titans with fourteen points (3-11) on the year.
- Saturday night the Storm will see the Titans again, and it is NASCAR night! The Dale Earnhardt Junior Budweiser #8 and the Jeff Gordon #24 show cars will be on hand that night along with the Budweiser girls and Dale Earnhardt Jr. novelties.
STORM PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION:
Tyler Knight (2 goals - 2 assists = 4 points) Tyler had a big weekend netting a goal and an assist in each game this weekend.
STORM GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION:
Logan Koopmans (1-0-0, 1GA & 33SV) Logan continued his strong play with a win Friday night over Atlantic City.
