Grrrowl open 5-game homestand with 4-1 loss to Columbus

Greenville, SC – MIKKO SIVONEN scored a powerplay goal to open the scoring at 11:45 of the first period, then Cottonmouths goaltender Mike Morrison took over control of the game. Morrison stopped 34 of 35 Greenville shots, and Columbus scored four unanswered goals on the way to a 4-1 win in front of 8,033 on Scout Night at the BI-LO Center.

Mike Bishai scored two goals, while Jay Vancik and Carlyle Lewis scored single goals for the Cottonmouths who swept the home-and-home weekend series with Greenville. Last night, Columbus posted a 5-3 victory at the Civic Center in Georgia. The Grrrowl outshot Columbus 35-24, but lost their fourth straight game in the process.

The Grrrowl remain home to host the Southeast Division rival Florida Everblades on Thursday, November 21st (7:05 PM, Newsradio 1330 & 950 WORD). Tickets are on sale at the BI-LO Center Box Office and all TicketMaster outlets. Also, join the "Voice of the Greenville Grrrowl" David Miller and Head Coach John Marks for "The Icehouse Grrrowl Hour Live at Wild Wing Café" this Monday night from 7:00 – 8:00 PM.
