Greensboro Generals News Release
Greensboro, NC â The elder stateswoman of Greensboro hockey is moving on to a new challenge. Director of client services of both the Greensboro Generals hockey club and Greensboro Prowlers football club Rosalee Brewer is leaving the organization effective today to accept a position with the Greensboro Bats baseball club as their Executive Assistant to the General Manager. As part of her last day on the job, Rosalee will be honored on the ice at tonight's game between the Generals and Trenton Titans. Face-off is at 7:30
Rosalee has worked for the current edition of the Greensboro Generals since the team's inception in 1999. But that's not her only experience working in hockey. Her first season working in the front office was the other Greensboro Generals' inaugural season, when hockey first came to the Piedmont in 1959. She also worked for the Greensboro Monarchs when they played in the coliseum in the 1990's. Rosalee has been involved as an employee, a booster club member, or a season ticket holder for every season there has been hockey in Greensboro, with the exception of the two years the Carolina Hurricanes played in town.
"I'm excited about my new role with the Bats. It's a terrific opportunity for me," says Rosalee. "More than anything, I want the fans to keep coming to Generals and Prowlers games. The Generals have a special team this season with a great group of young men, and I hope everyone comes out to see this team go for the Kelly Cup. I won't be here during the day anymore, but I guarantee you I'll be here at night for the games."
"Rosalee will be sorely missed," says Generals president and co-owner Rocco Scarfone (SKAR-foan). "She was the glue of the office staff. I know the Bats will benefit greatly by having her on their staff. Our entire organization and I wish Rosalee all the best of luck."
"We're thrilled to have someone like Rosalee join the Bats," says Bats general manager Donald Moore. "With all her years and experience in sports and in the community here in Greensboro, she will be a wonderful fit with our staff and our fans."
Tonight's game features a food drive to benefit Greensboro Urban Ministry and the Winston-Salem Crisis Control Ministry. All fans bringing in a canned food item will receive two dollars off their admission. Ticket prices range from $10.00 - $17.00, with tickets as low as $8.00 for students and seniors. Generals Flex Plans for six, twelve, and 18 games are also available for as little as $50.00. Fans can receive season ticket and other information by clicking on the Generals team website, www.greensborogenerals.com.
