Chiefs Snap Winless Streak

Johnstown, PA- Lukas Smital (1G, 2A), and Dominic Forget (2G, 1A) had three point nights as the Johnstown Chiefs snapped their four game winless streak (0-3-1) with a 5-4 over the Toledo Storm, Friday night at the War Memorial in front of a crowd of 3,024.

Jeff Mitchell, Nate Robinson, Darryl Bootland and Alexandre Jacques were the Toledo goal scorers. The Chiefs again struggled on the penalty kill as all four Toledo goals came with a man advantage. Phil Roy and Brent Bilodeau scored the other Johnstown goals.

Mark Scally got his first win in a Chiefs uniform making 27 saves. Doug Teskey made 23 saves for the loss.

Johnstown improves to 6-8-1 on the season, while despite losing, Toledo still has the nest record in the ECHL (12-2-1).

The Chiefs are on the road tomorrow night at Lexington. Game time is at 7:30 p.m. The Chiefs return home next week for a pair of games against the Peoria Rivermen Friday and Saturday night. Face-off for both games is at 7:30 p.m.
