The Grizzlies played five-games-in-six-days in California, going 0-4-1. The team is currently 3-10-3 on the season.

News and Notes

Bursting Onto the Pro Scene

After starting the year on 30-day IR, defenseman Gordon Burnett made his Utah debut on Friday night versus Long Beach. Saturday in Fresno, he picked up his first pro point on Utah's game-tying goal in the third period. Overall, since joining the team, he leads Utah with a +3.

Winding and Firing

Ryan Kinasewich has 18 shots in the last three games for Utah. Sunday, he added his third goal of the season in the Grizzlies loss to Stockton.

McVicar's The Man

Goaltender Rob McVicar continues to carry the load for Utah between the pipes. He has appeared in 15 of Utah's 16 games. He allowed three or fewer goals in four of the five games on the previous road trip and has allowed less than three goals in 12 of his 15 appearances.

Matt Craig Returns

Following three games with the AHL's Manitoba Moose, ECHL All-Star Matt Craig returned to Utah Friday versus Long Beach. The second-year pro collected 27 goals and 27 assists in 59 games last year for Utah.

Changing Things Up

Friday, Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie announced that the team had acquired Brendan Cook, Tyler Liebel and Chris Trick from the Pensacola Ice Pilots in exchange for Mike Wirll and Ed Hill. Cook and Liebel joined Utah Saturday. Trick will join the team this week.

Last Year Versus Victoria

The Grizzlies were 6-2-1 versus Victoria last year, including 3-1 at the E-Center.
