COMING UP: The Cincinnati Cyclones enjoy an abbreviated holiday week with a pair of games. The squad welcomes Toledo into town on Wednesday (Nov. 22) for a 7:30pm clash at U.S. Bank Arena. On Saturday (Nov. 25), the club makes its way up I-75 to Dayton for a 7pm tilt. Tickets for Wednesday's game can be purchased through TicketMaster (513-562-4949) and both games will be carried on the team's website (www.cycloneshockey.com).

LES NESSMAN TURKEY DROP: Wednesday night's (Nov. 22) game is 'WKRP In Cincinnati Turkey Drop'. There will be various Thanksgiving and turkey themed activities planned throughout the evening.

COACH ON THE 'Q': Cincinnati Cyclones Head Coach Chuck Weber appeared on the Jeff and Jen Show on Q-102 FM this morning. The Cyclones coach had been mentioned in glowing terms by the staff on the show. Coach Weber has made numerous visits to radio and television stations this season and will now add Q-102 to that list. Sports or Consequences (WLW) and Battle of the Sexes (Warm 98) highlight the list of his appearances.

MIDDLE PERIOD: The Cyclones have scored 16 of their 27 goals this season in the second period (59.3 percent). Against Toledo this season, Cincinnati has scored five of it seven goals in the middle frame.

FROM SUNDAY: The Cyclones dropped a 4-1 verdict in Toledo on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 19). A three goal Storm outburst in the second period was too much for Cincinnati to overcome. Cincinnati native Jason Deitsch netted the Cyclones lone goal.

BAD BOYS...: The Cyclones set a season-high with 79 penalty minutes against Toledo on Sunday (Nov. 19). Cincinnati was whistled for five roughing minors, four hooking minors, four fighting majors, three slashing minors, a pair of tripping minors, minor penalties for elbowing, holding the stick and instigating. A major penalty for charging, a misconduct and a game misconduct. In all 24 infractions were called to reach the 79 minute total. Cincinnati's five major penalties in the game tie the ECHL season high, also held by Idaho back on Oct. 24.

ABOUT SATURDAY NIGHT...: The Cyclones claimed a 2-1 victory over the Wheeling Nailers, Saturday night (Nov. 18) at U.S. Bank Arena. Dov Grumet-Morris stopped a season-high 41 shots in picking up his fourth win of the season. Matt Macdonald collected his first goal as a Cyclones and Cory Urquhart added his ninth goal of the season in the triumph.

MORE ON MACDONALD: The goal by Matt Macdonald at 15:47 of the third period Saturday night (Nov. 18) was the first scored by a Cyclones defenseman this season. The tally also ended a stretch of 14 games for the second-year pro without scoring a goal. Macdonald's last goal came on on March 24 of last season at Oklahoma City, while a member of the Lubbock Cotton Kings. It was also the first of the seven points he has collected this season that has not come on the power play.

COMEBACK: The 2-1 victory Saturday night (Nov. 18) marked the first time this season, and the first in the coaching career of Head Coach Chuck Weber, that the Cyclones trailed a game entering the third period and came back to win.

THE BOYS BETWEEN THE PIPES: The Cyclones goaltending tandem of Cedrick Desjardins and Dov Grumet-Morris have combined for the third best goals against average in the ECHL. The pair average allowing 2.54 goals per game.

FAST FACTS: The Cyclones rank fourth in the league in penalty killing at 87.3 percent...Cory Urquhart is fifth in the ECHL in goal scoring with nine...Torry Gajda is 14th among ECHL rookie in points with nine...Gajda is also second among rookies in minor penalties with 14...Conrad Martin's five major penalties are the most among rookies...Cincinnati's seven goals allowed in the third period are second-fewest in the league...The Cyclones are one of three teams not to have played in overtime this season (Dayton and Wheeling are the others)...Cincinnati has allowed an average of 31.7 shots on goal per game, ninth-fewest in the ECHL...Cyclones are 4-0-0 when leading after two periods.

WHO IS THIS BORRELLI GUY: On Wednesday (Nov. 8), the Cyclones acquired forward Dave Borrelli from Reading, in exchange for future considerations. Borrelli, 25, a rookie, played collegiately at Mercyhurst College. Last season, Borrelli led all Division I players with a 1.55 points per game average, as he collected 28 goals and 23 assists for 51 points. Borrelli had 14 power play goals (fourth-most in the country) and five shorthanded goals (third-most in college hockey). He was a part of a squad that led the country in scoring at 4.17 goals per game.

DICKMANN'S MONDAY NIGHT!: On Mondays, Head Coach Chuck Weber and selected players will be at at Dickmann's Sports Cafe (479 Orphanage Rd., Ft. Wright, KY) from 7-8pm.

CELEBRITIES AT U.S. BANK ARENA: There will be several celebrities for Cyclones promotions this season. UFC fighter Rich Franklin will be in on Jan. 5 and driver Denny Hamlin will make a pit stop for NASCAR Night (Jan. 6). There will also be several television reality stars in for Reality TV Night on Dec. 1. Gilbert Dionne has his jersey retired on Saturday, Dec. 2.
