STORM NOTES
* Blood Bath! The Storm and the Cyclones from Cincinnati clashed hard on Sunday afternoon. The two teams combined for 125 penalty minutes (Toledo 46, Cincinnati 79). Paul Crosty continued his strong fighting ways as he bloodied Cincinnati's Jimmy Bonneau in the second period.
* Rebounding! Following back-to-back losses in Reading, the Toledo Storm responded with a 4-1 Sunday win over the Cyclones. Toledo is 3-1-0 in games following a lose this season.
* Two Fer! Forwards Richard Colwill (Fri.), Andrew r. Martin (Sat.), and Chris Blight (Sun.) all scored two goals in consecutive games.
* Power Play! Toledo's Power Play has scored at least one goal in 4 of the past 5 games. For the season, the Storm has scored 8 power play goals in 93 chances (8.6%).
* Penalty Kill! The Penalty Kill Unit has continued to perform well stopping 79 of 94 (84.0%) on the season. That ranks Toledo 13th among ECHL teams.
STORM WATCH
* Storm vs. Cincinnati Wednesday! Will the antics of Sunday's game continue into a Wednesday night affair? This will be the fourth meeting of the season between these Ohio rivals. The home team has prevailed in each of the first 3 meetings with Cincinnati winning 4-0 at home on October 21st, Toledo winning 3-2 on November 4th, and then with Sunday's 4-1 win. Over the three games played in this series Toledo is averaging 40 penalty minutes per contest, Cincinnati 49.6. Goaltender Logan Koopmans is 2-1-0 against the Cyclones with a 2.33 goals against average and a .918 save percentage. Nick Parillo has 38 penalty minutes against the Cyclones, while Conrad Martin of the Cyclones has collected 24 in 3 games against Toledo. The Storm has out shot the Cyclones 97-85 in the 3 games.
* Storm back home on Friday! Toledo will hit the home ice on Friday night against the Dayton Bombers. It is the first meeting between the archrivals since opening night. That night, Logan Koopmans made 33 saves and completed a 2-0-shutout win over the Bombers. The rivals meet a total of twelve times this year.
