Project Warm Families Coat Drive Tuesday

This Week:

Monday, November 20th: Condors player Josh Liebenow and Community Relations Manager Jill Watts will visit kids at the Bakersfield Homeless Center at 4:30pm to show off hockey gear and answer questions.

Tuesday, November 21st: Condors player Scott Borders will be featured live on 17 News at Sunrise at 5am, 5:30am, 6am and 6:30am to bring you news regarding the Project Warm Families Coat Drive.

Tuesday, November 21st: Fans don't miss your chance to help the needy this holiday season. Bring a new or gently used coat to the game Tuesday and receive a $1.00 terrace level admission. All donations will be distributed to needy families throughout Kern County. This year's Project Warm Families Coat Drive is sponsored by KGET- TV 17, KHTY Might 970 and Barber Honda. Doors open at 6pm, puck drops at 7pm.

Wednesday, November 22nd: Members of the Condors front office staff will attend KUZZ's "As Bakersfield as it Gets" celebration breakfast at Buck Owens Crystal Palace at 7am.

Thursday, November 23rd: Happy Thanksgiving! Due to the holiday, the Condors Coach's Show is canceled this week, but will resume on Thursday, Nov. 30. The Coach's Show will feature special guests Condors players as they'll join Head Coach Marty Raymond and Voice of the Condors Jake Stevens to talk about the latest goings on in Condorstown! The Condors Coach's Show can be heard live on KGEO Hot Talk AM 1230 from 6-7pm or live at the Q Street Lounge located inside the Holiday Inn Select at 801 Truxtun Ave.

Friday, November 24th: Condors players will be featured on Channel 29 The Eyewitness News Station to discuss Saturday night's 8th Annual Teddy Bear Toss. Watch for Shawn Thompson at 6am and Kevin Truelson at noon.

Saturday, November 25th: The Condors, 29 Eyewitness News, KERN 1410 AM and Wells Fargo Bank are teaming up this holiday season for the 8th Annual Teddy Bear Toss. All fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear, to Saturday's game, or other stuffed animal, to be thrown onto the ice when the Condors score their first goal. The teddy bears will be collected and donated to less fortunate children through the United Way of Kern County. Doors open at 6pm, pucks drops at 7pm.

Week in Review:

Tuesday, November 14th: The Condors held their Third Annual Field Trip Day and provided a fun-filled educational game day for more than 5,000 local students. Over 8,100 fans attended the game and the game was sponsored by the Bakersfield Californian, KERN 1410 AM and Arrival Communications.

Friday, November 17th: Condors mascot Baby Cal visited children at the Juvenile Justice Center for "National Adoption Day."

Friday, November 17th: Condors Account Managers, Mark Goodwin and Tim Statezni, attended the Bakersfield's AIDS Project to help kick-off World AIDS day on Dec. 1.

Saturday, November 18th: Colonel Claw'd attended the Kern County Special Olympics at the Kern County Fair grounds.

Tuesday, December 5th: Condors players Todd Griffith and Danny Stewart will visit American Elementary to help pass out awards to students for their outstanding achievements.

Wednesday, December 6th Condors players will help raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital at 5pm. Players will answer donation phone lines and visit the children in the pediatrics ward. Watch and listen for Condors players on KGET- TV 17 and The Big 96.5 KBKO as they broadcast the event from 5am-7pm.

Just for Kids:

Baby Cal and Colonel Claw'd are looking for kids to join the coolest club in Condorstown for only $20. Membership includes a Kid's Club T-shirt, free admission to five games, membership card and exclusive gifts provided by the Bakersfield Californian, Bright House Networks and Wells Fargo Bank.

Parents can purchase the Kids Club corresponding ticket plan for as low as $54 and receive six (6) tickets to the Kids Club game nights, so that you can enjoy the game with your child.
