A first! Gladiators rookie forward Bruce Mulherin posted his first professional goal in the Gladiators 3-2 win over the Columbia Inferno on Friday night. Mulherin's goal was also the game winner for the Gladiators. The rookie out of the University of Alabama-Huntsville now has a goal and two assists for 3 points in five games for the Gladiators.

And Another First! Forward Brandon Kaleniecki scored the Gladiators only goal in Saturday's 3-1 loss at Charlotte. The goal was his first goal of the season and his first professional goal. The rookie out of the University of Michigan posted his first professional point, an assist, in the Gladiators 5-4 overtime loss at South Carolina on November 7th.

Snapping the Skid: The Gladiators snapped their four game winless streak with a 3-2 win over the Columbia Inferno on Friday night at the Carolina Coliseum. The four game winless streak was the longest winless streak since the Gladiators were winless in four games from January 24th through January 31st of 2004 during the team's inaugural saesaon.

Still in the Lead! Third year pro Brad Schell posted another point, an assist, for the Gladiators in Friday's 3-2 win over the Columbia Inferno. Schell continues to lead the ECHL in scoring as he has posted 5 goals and 20 assists to push his total to 25 points on the year. Schell's 20 assists is also tops in that category in the ECHL.

To the "A": Jeff Campbell became the second player called up to the American Hockey League last week as he was called up to the Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday. The Hensall, Ontario native was named the ECHL's MVP last year while setting a new Gladiators record for points in a season with 83. In three games with Grand Rapids, Campbell has collected two assists for the Griffins. In 11 games with Gwinnett before being called up, Campbell posted 17 points.

Making an Impact! The Gladiators signed forward Bryan Dobek on Friday. The rookie joined the Gladiators after beginning the season with the Fayetteville FireAntz out of the Southern Professional Hockey league. Brad Schell, Jon Awe, Mike Vigilante, Bryan Dobek, Andy Contois and Jamie Milam each had an assist in the win. Dave Caruso made 32 saves for his 3rd win of the season for the Gladiators.
