
Grizzlies Lose 5-4 in Overtime to Condors

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies went to overtime with the Bakersfield Condors for the second game in a row, but again could not leave the night with two points.
In the first period, teams traded goals as Bakersfield scored shorthanded and Andy Sertich scored on the power-play for the Grizzlies 37 seconds later.
The Grizzlies gained a 3-1 advantage in the second period thanks to goals by Travis Rycroft and D.J. Jelitto. This lead was neutralized by Bakersfield with 2 goals in the last 2:03 of a very physical period.
Both teams scored in the first 2 minutes of the third period with Joel Irving scoring for the Grizzlies and Todd Griffith for Bakersfield. Todd Griffith scored again for the Condors 2:03 into the overtime.
Both teams face-off again Saturday night as the Grizzlies continue to fight to secure a spot in the ECHL playoffs. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
