Dayton Bombers News Release
Dayton, OH - The Dayton Bombers of the ECHL are partnering with local radio station Z93 to host "Music on the Ice" tomorrow night, Saturday, March 10, 2007, as the Bombers take on the Wheeling Nailers at 7:00 p.m.
Fans have the chance to enter to compete in the on-ice shootout challenge to win one of three Fender guitars, complements of Willis Music. Z93 personalities Scott Sharp and Mark Neal will host the contest. The station will have a live remote broadcast from the Ervin J. Nutter Center from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
The Bombers will be wearing special promotional jerseys featuring their new, alternate logo in honor of Wright Patt Air Force Base. These authentic, game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off immediately following the game on the Verizon Flight Deck by Bombers celebrity auctioneer, Jim Tietge. All fans are invited to participate in the auction, which will benefit the Fisher/Nightingale Houses. The Fisher/Nightingale Houses, located on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, provide physical and emotional support to servicemen and servicewomen and offer an opportunity for military families to stay together and support each other when a loved one is undergoing medical treatment.
Future stars of the Bombers, the Dayton Bluehawks IP and Dayton Bombers Youth Hockey League mites, will entertain the crowd with scrimmages during each of the game's intermissions. Throughout the game on the Mountain Dew Flight Deck clowns will be in attendance making balloon animals and painting faces, for the kids.
As always, fans can enter to participate in the Prestige Ford of Dayton F-150 Shootout and the Cricket Communications Chuck-a-Puck, as well as watch the Wright-Patt Credit Union Zamboni and the Cricket Communications blimp.
Other game night sponsors include Times Community Papers, GE Money, and the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
