
Wranglers Centers Move Up

LAS VEGAS, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that center Chris Neiszner has been recalled by the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights of the American Hockey League and center Derek Edwardson has been loaned to the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL.
Chris Neiszner has played 50 games for Las Vegas this season scoring a career-high 16 goals and adding 12 assists for 28 points. In two seasons with the Wranglers, Neiszner has amassed 27 goals and added 32 assists for 59 points in 108 games played. Neiszner had a solid showing last post-season with Las Vegas scoring five goals and adding six assists for 11 points in 12 playoff games. The Craik, SK native has logged two previous stints with Omaha, scoring one goal and adding one assist for two points in nine games over the last two seasons. Neiszner played four years of junior hockey with the Red Deer Rebels of the WHL, scoring 49 goals and adding 52 assists for 101 points.
Derek Edwardson leads the Wranglers in scoring this season with 20 goals and 36 assists for 56 points in 58 games played. In his second season with Las Vegas, Edwarson has totaled 36 goals and 65 assists in 111 games played. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound center has played a total of 24 AHL games in his career with three different teams, Grand Rapids, Bridgeport, and Portland. This is his first trip to Milwaukee. Edwardson turned pro after completing four seasons with the Miami University (Ohio) Redhawks. The Morton Grove, IL native spent his first professional season with the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies scoring 23 goals and adding 41 assists for 64 points.
The Wranglers continue their seven-game home stand when they host Texas tonight and Saturday night at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena. Friday night, the Wranglers will hand out team player card sets to the first 2,000 fans, compliments of Cox Communications. On Saturday, fans may attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in the concourse of the Orleans Arena.
The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue.
