Rays vs. Reading Tonight

South Carolina Stingrays News Release


N. Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays and Reading Royals take the ice tonight at the North Charleston Coliseum. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. with live coverage on ESPN Radio 910 the Team with Mike Kelly, "Voice of the Rays" beginning at 6:50 p.m.

This is the first meeting between the two teams this season, and the Stingrays have an overall record of 2-3-0 against the Royals.

The Stingrays are coming off last night's 6-2 win against the Charlotte Checkers. The team is now 2-5-2-1 in their last ten games and on a one-game winning streak. South Carolina is 14-12-1-1 on home ice. The Stingrays gained two points in the standings, but remain two points behind Charlotte for that last playoff spot in the South Division.

The Royals have had the week off with their last game a 3-2 shootout win over the Wheeling Nailers on March 4. The team is 8-2-0 in their last ten games and 11-14-0-2 on the road. Reading is in fourth place in the North Division.
