
Grizzlies Get Full Line-Up, But Fall in Victoria 7-3

Victoria, British Columbia - The Grizzlies got back a full line-up tonight after Micheal Haley and Ryan Kinasewich returned from Bridgeport. Also Jason Christie signed T.J. Campbell and Kyle Paige to contracts and made their professional debuts tonight. However, the Grizzlies could not beat Victoria falling 7-3.
Just under seven minutes into the first, Victoria broke open the game with a 5-on-3 power play goal from Wes Goldie. Goldie connected for his second of the game on the power play with just over a minute left to play in the first. Less than a minute later Derek Krestanovich put in a loose puck in front to give Victoria a 3-0 lead heading into the break.
Utah finally broke onto the score sheet 7:11 into the second, when Paige scored his first professional goal on a rebound in front. Rob Sirianni and Garett Bembridge received assists on the goal. The Salmon Kings answered back over a minute later when Chris St. Jacques scored on a deflection off of Jordan Hart. With under five minutes left in the second, Utah cut the lead to two when Travis Rycroft scored his eighth of the year from Kinasewich and Sanford.
Victoria continued the onslaught in the third getting goals from Patrick Coulombe and Ryan Wade. Utah added a third goal when Kinasewich scored his 19th on a partial breakaway, shorthanded. Christian Gaudet and Rycroft received assists on the goal. Victoria added one more when Ash Goldie beat Wylie Rogers from the left side.
Rogers stopped 27 of 34 shots.
Utah continues their five-game road trip Friday and Saturday in Victoria. Face-off both nights is scheduled for 8:05 p.m.
The Grizzlies return home Wednesday, March 26 to host Las Vegas at 7:05 p.m.
