Goulet breaks Lynx goal-scoring record
Last week, Augusta Lynx captain #9 Louis Goulet broke the all-time Augusta Lynx goal scoring record as he tied, the past the mark established by Jonas Solig. Solig scored 90 career goals during his three years with the Lynx (1998-2001). Goulet tied the mark in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to Gwinnett, however the record breaker came in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Charlotte Checkers. Goulet dumbed home a rebound drive off the stick of Lynx defenseman #25 Adrian Veideman with another assist to #11 Matt Christie. Goulet was the game's #1 star. He has scored four goals in his last five games heading into this weekend's action.

Lynx players deliver teddy bears Wednesday
The Augusta Lynx players will be visiting the children at MCG Children's Medical Center at 1:30pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 to deliver Teddy Bears. The Teddy Bears are donated by the Augusta Lynx fans during the annual Teddy Bear Toss back on December 8th. When the Augusta Lynx scored the first goal of the game, the bears were tossed onto the ice by the fans. This year, the team collected 697 Teddy Bears. The players deliver the Teddy Bears to children in area hospitals, churches and shelters. The Teddy Bear delivery has become a tradition for the Augusta Lynx.
