
Grizzlies Fall 5-2 In Alaska

Anchorage, Alaska - The Alaska Aces defeated the Utah Grizzlies (26-24-2-5) 5-2 Wednesday night at the Sullivan Arena.
Utah built an early 2-0 lead with two goals in a 7:03 span and in the first 10:50 of the contest to go up by a count of 2-0. Both goals were assisted by Matt Clarke as AJ Perry (22) and Tony Romano (9) scored for Utah.
Utah led 11-3 on the shot board before Alaska scored their first goal of the night with 1:17 left in the first period and took the momentum from there, scoring four consecutive goals in a 15:31 span to take a 4-2 lead. Alaska added a late empty-netter with 1:13 left to go to finish the contest.
Mitch O'Keefe relieved Beau Erickson after the fourth Alaska goal and stopped 20-straight Alaska shots to finish the game.
Utah and the Aces complete their midweek set Thursday in Anchorage. Face-off is scheduled for 9:15 p.m.
Utah returns home Friday, March 12 to host Stockton at 7:05 p.m.
