Ryan Cruthers Loaned To Norfolk

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Ryan Cruthers has been loaned to the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL. In separate transactions, the Royals also (i) moved defenseman Tim Branham from the 3-Day Injured Reserve to the 21-Day Injured Reserve; and (ii) placed forward Marc Cavosie on the 3-Day Injured Reserve.

This marks the second trip to the AHL this season for Cruthers, a second year pro from Farmingdale, New York. He was previously loaned to the Admirals in late January, and he was returned to Reading in early February. In five games with Norfolk, Cruthers has registered one assist and two penalty minutes. In forty-seven games with Reading, Cruthers has picked up fifty-five points (15g-40a) and fifty-three penalty minutes.

The Royals return to the Sovereign Center on Thursday night (March 4, 2010 @ 7:05) when the Kalamazoo Wings return to Reading. Promotions at Thursday's game include: 'Thirsty Thursday' ($2.00 select beer), 'WAWA Weekday' (special $5.00 off ticket coupons available at WAWA), and a Dollar Menu Night (Hot Dogs, Nachos, Popcorn, and Soda just $1.00). The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will begin at 6:35 pm.
